New York University Selects Columbus Application Provider’s Automatic Drawing Recognition Tool (ADR)
Automatic Drawing Recognition Tool To Manage 170 Buildings and 15 Million Square Feet
February 11, 2007 - New York, NY - Columbus Application Provider (www.clmb.net), a leading developer of software solutions for facilities management today announced New York University (NYU), (www.nyu.edu) has selected its Automatic Drawing Recognition tool to manage its facilities. In total, the tool will manage 170 buildings and 15 million square feet, making it one of the largest implementations of its kind in the world.
The Columbus Automatic Drawing Recognition (ADR) technology analyses and interprets CAD drawings into standard and easy to use SQL databases. Its ability to gather and process information in real time ensures the most updated and correct data is always saved to the tool’s central database for use by NYU.
“We worked long and hard to prove to NYU that our tool is the most powerful in the marketplace,” said Avi Lavon, Columbus CEO. “It is hugely complex to manage 170 buildings and 15 million square feet - and that one tool can do it competently is the result of more than 15 years of research and development in which Columbus has invested. And as NYU expands its real estate holdings, so too will we continue adding value.”- end -
