Web Report Generator is an integral part of Columbus’ Facility Navigator. The Report Generator performs queries and generates reports that obtain information from databases used by other applications in the facility, e.g. ERP, purchasing and accounting. The report generator is also a standalone application easily integrated with other applications.

Based on electronic permission commensurate with job title and responsibility, users are able to access only that information germane to their position. Armed with this information, reports are easily generated and then customized according to the user’s preferences. Reports and templates range from very simple tabular reports, to advanced templates including calculated fields, charts and diagrams and multiple database sources.

The Report Generator is intuitive drag and drop easy to use software. For every report generated one can easily define the criteria needed, including sort order, breakpoints, filters, appearance (such as font, color, size, headers and footers), summary levels and much more. The report generator supports creation of new views and datasets for the convenience of administrators.

Each user is provided with a full set of base reports covering the organization’s reporting needs. These reports can be modified to suit individual purposes or serve as templates for creating new reports

The Base reports are based on tables or views in the SQL database, typically created by the system administrator or DBA.
